Having to regularly deal with people who are constantly negative and difficult can become very stressful, and have a significant effect on your health and well-being.

It is important to try and deal with difficult people because if you don’t the situation can often get worse resulting in conflict, which could have serious consequences.

A good start is to try and clear the air with someone informally, ensuring that you listen to them carefully and take their views on board.

If this is not successful then we suggest that you speak with your Human Resources department, or where appropriate your line manager at work.
